La Maima began as a family restoration project in the mountains of Dapa.
On top of that forest we built independent houses and cabins, each with its own kitchenette and private bathroom.
La Maima began as a family restoration project in the mountains of Dapa. Three decades later, what used to be pasture is a reserve of native forest on the same hillside, with its wildlife back home: toucans, guans, hummingbirds and agoutis.
On top of that forest we built independent houses and cabins, each with its own kitchenette and private bathroom. No corridors, no reception desk: every house has its own entrance, its own terrace and its own piece of mountain.
We are at kilometre 12 of the Dapa road, in Yumbo, less than an hour from Cali on paved road. Close enough to come for a weekend; far enough not to hear the city.
